December 8-14, 2014
We are challenging students at The Lovett School to participate in just one hour of coding activities in honor of Computer Science Education Week. When you complete an activity, bring your certificate to the inGen Studio or email a screenshot of it to Mrs. Bullock or Mrs. Mracek. We can't wait to display your certificates around the Lower School! (See below for ways that you can participate.)
What is the Hour of Code?
The Hour of Code is a self-guided activity that every student, in every classroom, can do. A variety of hour-long tutorials have been created for students to try out the basics of computer science. Simple computer science activities can help nurture creativity and problem solving skills. By getting a feel for computational thinking early, students will have a foundation for success in any future career path. See world-wide who is participating. Watch the following movie to hear who is supporting this program. Some of these key players will also be the trainer during the video tutorials.
